O'Leary & Associates Ltd. is a British Columbia-based economic development consulting firm, founded in 2008 by Colin O'Leary to provide strategic, financial, and innovation-focused consulting to businesses, non-profits, public entities, and social enterprises. Since our founding, we have built a growing reputation and presence across Western Canada, delivering evidence-based strategies, tools, and resources to address a wide range of economic development challenges and opportunities for municipal, regional, provincial, and federal clients.
Our team holds credentials that few firms in Western Canada can match. We are one of a small number holding both the provincial (CEDP.BC) and federal (Ec.D.) professional designations in economic development. Our consultants are also certified practitioners with the International Association for Public Participation (IAP2), the leading credential for designing and delivering meaningful public and stakeholder engagement.
Together, this means every project is grounded in both rigorous economic analysis and genuine, well-designed engagement, so the strategies we build reflect what communities actually need and have the support to move forward.
